I heard this song today for what could easily be the millionth time since it came out last year. It was a massive radio and club hit and by now most people are a over it. But every time I hear it I get chills over Lil Mama’s part. So I’m wondering, where the heck IS Lil Mama?
Her performance on this track is one of the best I’ve ever heard in hip-hop. Her ultra-tight syncopations against the beat and her street ‘I don’t give a F$%&!’ attitude are perfectly executed. So why is she not on the top of the R&B and Pop charts?
