Live Nation Launches Live Connect Service For Unsigned Artists In UK
Live Nation UK is preparing to launch Live Connection, a new service aimed at supporting new and unsigned artists in the U.K. Live Connection will hand-select unsigned artists and help them produce professional audio and videos at a monthly live session as well as supply them with three recorded tracks to use for personal promotional use. Live Connection will also help to promote these acts with the music industry in the UK as well as with a network of more than 16 million fans.
Live Connection has partnered with the streaming service We7, and will utilize Live Nation UK and Ticketmaster UK's content channels and social media platforms, as well as taking the project into the student market with packaged programmes airing through Sub.TV; accessing some 1.76 million students across Students' Union venues nationwide.
Live Connection will also provide regular news and updates to UK music industry participants, keeping them current with the latest developments and trends with these emerging artists.
"The exposure Live Connection can give to new artists is outstanding" says Paul Latham, COO of Live Nation Entertainment. "With access to millions of music fans, Live Connection is the perfect exposure model for new and emerging acts. We’re not only showcasing their talent to the right industry contacts, we’re building communities, sharing their recorded music and video through Live Nation’s mailing lists, websites and social networks. We’ll also be pushing these artists towards publishing and distribution deals as well as looking to add live exposure and experience through our venue estate and festival output." - via CelebrityAccess
