ShareSquare Upgrades QR Music Promo Tool & We’ve Got Free Private Beta Invites
ShareSquare has been private beta testing QR codes (barcodes scanned via smartphones) that bridge the offline-to-online gap to create crowd-sourced street teams for musicians over the last 2 months. Today, ShareSquare is adding some major functionality and Hypebot has 100 free private beta invites.
ShareSquare has just added functionality that allows QR code based music campaigns to be tracked, analyzed and optimized in real-time:
- real-time data on usage (handset type, carrier, etc) and engagement (scans, views, shares) in conjunction with geolocation to identify when, where, and how new fans are interacting with your ShareSquare-enhanced collateral in the real world.
- Email harvesting via CSV allows artists to build their mailing lists through their ShareSquare-enhanced physical collateral.
- Enhanced QR templates with best practices are built in.
These new features can be unlocked, for free, in exchange for helping ShareSquare's SXSW campaign with a tweet. A registered ShareSquare user's tweet will be prepopulated with three SXSW artists performing at the event, and will contain an invite to the private beta.
At SXSW, the team says they'll be adding leaderboards and geo heat maps. The "Most Scanned Bands" in Ayusitn that week will also receive special attention, like featured space on ShareSquare's homepage and coverage on Hypebot, as well as awards that we'll announce at the event.
