A Nielsen study shows that teens send or receive an avergae of 3,339 texts a month or an average of 6 per waking hour. Teen girls average 4,050 and boys text 2,539 times each month.  Phone usage is down among teens by 14%. Girls talk 753 minutes a month versus boys at 525. Interestingly.  Phone use roses to peaks at age 24.
